This would also explain how vampires would wind up killing people by feeding, despite the capacity of a human stomach being only enough to drink about a liter at once (or, in terms of blood loss, enough to make you pale, a bit clammy, and woozy). If they get a major artery and don’t bother to do anything to stop the bleeding, then what they don’t drink is going all over the floor.
I was possessed by the need to draw all Flight Rising deities today, but why stop there when i could also give them a small rework to fit my own concepts? So, meet the gladekeeper! Kinda inspired by foo dogs, jade temples, and those legends of the turtles so big that they became whole continents! (Still a wip sketch btw!!! Im gonna post the finished version later)
Some points im gonna keep in mind for the finished version:
Birds to give a sense of scale of how much of a behemoth i want her to be
Carved/painted wood details as if dragons that adore her carved beautiful inscriptions on her body over the years, sort of how lovers do that thing on trees
Flower bush beard
Maybe a little pond with lilypads somewhere but not sure where i would fit it
Still haven’t felt like moving back to tumblr. My curiosity has still drawn me closer to Mastodon, even with both Reddit and Twitter circling the drain. There’s also tiktok, but I don’t really /post/ stuff over there, mostly just browse.
I am trying to participate in ArtFight this year, though, so I might at least stop back here to post stuff specifically for my “targets” to be able to share it on social. Def saw one person who said they were on tumblr, there’s probably more
